We provide opportunities for anyone that is 8 years old or older to:
Learn to sail safely
Our classes, coaching sessions, lakeside campouts, races, and regattas are conducted on the lakes in the Triangle area of central North Carolina. They are readily accessible from Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, and Cary.
Our offerings are divided into three sailing programs based on the age of the participant:
Junior Sailing Program - for kids from 8 to13 years of age. This program utilizes 7 1/2 foot, single-handed sailboats called OPTI's, which are the most popular boats in the world for teaching young kids to sail.
High School Sailing Program - for kids in the 8th through 12th grade. This program uses 14 foot, two person boats called 420's, which are the boat of choice for high school sailing teams in the U.S.
Adult Sailing Classes - for adults and older kids who want to learn to sail on a larger, more stable boat. This program uses 19 foot, 3 or four person boats called Flying Scots.
For more information about each of the programs, click on "JUNIOR SAILING" or "H/S SAILING" or "ADULT SAILING" .
